Rise in Flooding in the UK Linked to Climate Change
3Ceco.com UK - England is increasingly witnessing the impact of global climate change as water levels rise throughout the country and flash flooding is becoming a common event as a months worth of rain fall can now fall in a day or two.
The heavier rainfall in Britain is being caused by climate change according to a scientific study released jointly by the Hadley Center of the UK Met Office and national climate research institutes.
These new intense rainstorms are occurring across the Northern Hemisphere and are brought on by man-made global warming the study went on to report. Once a theory, data now confirms that sporadic weather is now a direct result of high CO2 levels in the atmosphere as climate change triggers rise in flooding in the UK.
